Ever notice how some women look overly made up while others seem naturally accentuated? Creating the perfect look truly is a balancing act. When we look at someone’s face, we tend to focus on one feature at a time (usually the eyes or mouth). Hence, one of the biggest—and most common—makeup faux pas is playing up too many features at one time. Pairing dramatic eyes with loud lipstick makes the face look busy and creates a sense of confusion that’s anything but flattering.
