Last night, Hollywood dazzled us yet again at the 83rd Academy Awards. And while the ceremony itself was as glamorous as any in recent history, the red carpet lead-up left us longing for more. This year, more stars chose to play it safe than to take wild wardrobe chances, much to our chagrin. Even the notoriously style impaired (i.e. Helen Bonham Carter) looked relatively tame by past award show standards. To be sure, the star-studded event did offer a few gems, but for those of us hoping for a runaway hit look or a fashion disaster, the view was pretty bleak.

My husband will complain about skin issues and potential aging to me, and I’ll say “Well, maybe you should use this,” as I hand him one of my moisturizers, cleansers or serums.
