Last week marked the first time this year that the temperature in Atlanta hit the 80 mark for more than two days in a row. To say that the respite from the cold and rain was a welcomed relief would be an understatement. Within the first few sun-soaked hours, downtown streets and parks swelled to capacity, breaking an unseasonably long bout of cabin fever for a Sun Belt city.
