Happy April, Pür enthusiasts! 2014 has been flying by, and before we know it, summer will be upon us! Instead of jumping onto the next diet that will surely crash before Independence Day, make this the year that you change your habits and make health a lifestyle once and for all!

 

Before I list off my favorite exercises for you, we’ve got to cut to the core of this healthy living thing. What does it look like, and why does it matter to you? Maybe you’ve tried to change your ways before, only to find yourself right back where you started. Don’t panic. I have a strategy that has been proven over and over with every person I work with. At our first meeting, we get to the root of these two questions: WHAT and WHY.

 

WHAT is the main goal?

What do you hope to achieve? Is it a measurable goal (i.e. x inches lost, x pushups performed, a 5K you want to run)? The more specific and realistic your goal, the better. You’ve got to define where you’re headed. How else will you know you’ve arrived?

 

WHY do you want to achieve this?

This is the BIG one. Why does this matter to you? I need you to be really honest with yourself and dig deep (i.e. I want to be confident in my skin, I want to be a role model for my kids, etc.). It’s got to resonate with you at your core if you expect it to motivate you.

 

Once we establish this solid foundation, we can then design an ACTION PLAN (daily healthy choices, workouts, nutrition, etc). Skip over this key step, and you’ll be right back where you started in a few weeks. It’s time to live your most empowered life! You deserve to feel amazing in your skin, and you are worth every bit of hard work and success that will follow. Let’s do this!
