Planning on hitting the stores on Black Friday? Be brave, be focused and be prepared! Here are a few tips to prevent insanity and assure you’ll get what you want.
1. Write It Down
Bring a list of exactly what you’re looking for so you can stay focused and not overspend.
2. Dress the Part
Black Friday is not the day to perfect your look. Dress comfortably in sweats, running shoes and just a splash of lip color.
3. Work Ahead
Follow some of your favorite stores or brands on Twitter and Facebook. They post specials that you won’t see anywhere else. It’s a great way to be prepared and score discounts in advance.
4. Turkey Trot
There are more and more stores that are opening on Thanksgiving Day. If you can, take advantage once dinner is cooked and the guys are watching football.
5. Stay Home
Lots of great retailers are participating in Cyber Monday, which is the Monday after Thanksgiving (December 2nd). Stalk some of your favorite things in advance, and plan to buy them then.
