In honor of Father’s Day, Pür Minerals wanted to take the time to recognize and celebrate the dads in our community! This week, guest blogger and daughter of our CEO, Julia Cohen, shares her thoughts on growing up in the beauty industry and how healthy skin is the gift that keeps on giving.

From Julia Cohen:

My father is one of the biggest role models in my life. He has taught me life lessons that will reside with me forever. My favorite moments with my dad are the times he made me laugh. He has that rare ability to make you feel right at home, and he knows exactly how to put a smile on your face. I believe this is because his genuine spirit shines through his eyes and smile.

My father’s incredible sense of humor has shaped me into the free sprit I am today and has helped me in so many ways, especially during my teen years. He taught me the importance of treating others with kindness, of holding myself to a high standard of ethics, and the idea of “beauty from within”.

However, this idea is not always black and white. In my teens, I found it hard to like myself inside if I did not like myself on the outside. Research shows that making an effort to look your best has a direct effect on your self-esteem. “True beauty comes from within,” he says, “and through this industry, we have the opportunity to enhance a person’s beauty, making them their best inside and out. “

This message resonates with me as a reminder of the man my father is and the man he strives to be—an honest, loyal and determined person who has always told me to follow my dreams and be the best I can be.

For Father’s Day, I asked my dad what his two favorite products are. (They’re Fulvic Mineral Mist and In the Clear cleanser, by the way.) Let your father look and feel his best this summer with the gift of healthy skin—the gift that keeps on giving.
