St. Patrick’s Day is this Thursday, and if you’re like me, you don’t keep oodles of green in your wardrobe. I like the color, but for some reason, I just don’t buy a lot of green clothing. Perhaps I should change that, but for now, I can bring out green accents in my clothes with the unprecedented power of eye shadow.
First, use Mineral Eye Prep for a rich, long-lasting look. Use a gold tone, like Sun Stone, on the lid and brow bone. I like to create contrast by making the lid shade bolder and blending it more toward the brow. Brush True Emerald on the crease, and lightly line your top and bottom lash lines with Peridot eye pencil.
Next, get a bit of Mineral Eye Prep on an Eyeliner Brush. Dip it into the green shadow and trace the bottom lash line you drew with the pencil. (I learned that little trick from my buddy and makeup mentor, Tamra Compton.) It creates a vivid line that does not wear off. Finish your look with a couple layers of Impact + Mascara, and voila! You have a fun, green-infused yet tasteful look for St. Paddy’s Day that will save you from being pinched!
I made this virtual look on the Pür Minerals site to show off my idea.
