When you’re lucky enough to be born with a combination of brown hair and brown eyes, the world of eye shadow is open to you. You can use virtually any color combination and you’re going to look great. This allows you to experiment with a variety of hues, each eliciting different effects, which can completely change the look you achieve.
Copper, bronze and brown eye shadow colors are always going to look good, creating a safe, conservative look, which is dressy without being overwhelming. Contrast the natural tone of your eyes using a darker eye shadow on lighter brown eyes and lighter colors on darker eyes. Avoid flat brown tones, which will cause the eyes to recede. Instead, use colors with a little bit of shimmer, like Pür Minerals “Gold Dust”. You can then use lighter cream or golden hues to highlight the look.
For an eye shadow color that’s professional and conservative but also a little dramatic and smoky, try gray colors like “Graphite” or “Onyx” from Pür Minerals. These will give your brown peepers a little shimmer while still maintaining a level of dignity and refinement. For a more dramatic “runway look,” try using darker gray eye shadow tones.
If your brown hair brown eye color combination includes darker olive skin tones, then you should try experimenting with violet eye shadow hues to create a sultry, smoky look. Avoid dark purples, going instead with lighter shades such as Pür Minerals “Lavender Mourite” pressed mineral eye shadow. The metallic “Chrome Cryolite” will also provide just the right amount of color with a thrilling hint of shimmer.
