I've only used the Marble Mineral Powder in Spice and in replenishing my supply, I agree with other users that the new formulation of the Spice color is significantly darker than the "original" Spice. There is very little of the lighter pigments in this one. This is definitely not for everyone. As a "light skinned" African-American woman, the new darker formualation still works for me, but I do find that I need to "tone it down" a bit with a little more of the 4-in-1 or Mineral Glow on top.

I had always been a fan of Pur Minerals blusher, but it seems the product has changed and now contains more colorant than the luminous pale tones that gave it such a beautiful glow. The color is still pretty, but it's flat and 'loud' and like just about any other powder blush on the market. Those luminous particles were what set it apart from other blushers, but Pur seems to have been a little too skimpy in this regard. I don't mind paying a few bucks extra for a product I like, but I won't be buying this blusher again. -Hi! I'm so sorry you're disappointed with the Marble Powder.I can't tell from your review if you're speaking to the Spice, Pink or Bronze, but I wanted to let you know that the formulations have not changed. Please remember that these artful powders are individually unique: no two are exactly the same due to their mosaic patterns. The mosaics distribute color differently. For instance, pink marble powders with more white "veins" are more luminous than those with more of the pinks and mauves as the white is actually a pearl finish. I hope that helps!

Comments about Universal Marble Mineral Powder:

I received both spice and pink in the try it kit. I am glad because I use them both everyday. Because of the size they both stay in my makeup bag in my purse. I use spice as a contour for my cheeks and forehead. The pink as a subtle pop of color above my contour. I read in a review that some people used them as a lip-color so I tried it and I think it looked great. Makeing this an even more valuable asset to my bag of essentials in my purse.

          Natural Pop of Color

          By Brittany Mays

          from Virginia, USA

I was hesitant to purchase this blush at first because it is a bit pricey, but I'm glad I took the plunge! I have pretty fair skin and this powder gives me a natural wash of color all over. It's easy to apply with a blush brush and it doesn't feel heavy or cakey. The color lasts all day and I love the added benefit of shea butter. Love! The only downside is a slight mineral odor.

It probably just didnt match well with my pale skin tone. It was a nice product though, usually i feel claustrophobic with face makeup on but this was nice and light.

I never thought I could wear blush. I thought only women with light skin could wear it, but boy was I wrong. The spice blush looks pretty great on me.

          Natural Beauty Look

I have tried these in Pink and Spice. These are great for a light, natural look of color. In the winter months when my skin is lighter I use Pink to give color to cheeks, lips and eyelids. In the summer when I am more tan I reach for the Spice used in the same way. The Pink and Spice gives my face a subtle color making my face look healthy, not "made up". Used for my everyday look, people around me think I'm naturally this pretty all the time and don't realize I am actually wearing makeup. Be aware, because of the marbling, that no two are alike. I've bought these several times and the colors in the compact are overall sometimes lighter, sometimes darker.

I use the pink as a subtle blush! Being over 50, I don't want to look "over-made-up"! this powder is perfect for that very reason!

          A very natural glow

This is a lovely blush which goes on looking very natural and light with very little powder on the brush. It looks like a very healthy glow but not like make up. The small size of the container initially surprised me given the price, but it takes so little to achieve the perfect glow that I realized that this would last as long as a larger less expensive brand of lesser quality. I recommend trying it in the starter kit where it can be tested on the whole make up regimen. Overall, an excellent find.

I love this product! It doesn't feel heavy like other blushes and doesn't make me breakout. It's a little hard to apply but overall I love it.

Hi! I'm so sorry you're displeased with your Pink Marble Powder. The thing is that no two Pink Marble Powders are exactly the same because they are mosaics. Some compacts will have more of the soft white pearl while others will have more of the deeper mauve shade. If you're shopping in store you can always look at the powder in the box to assess the color concentrations, or if you're ordering through us you could ask the Customer Service Rep to make a note of your preference for a softer mosaic. We do accept returns within 30 days of shipment if you wanted to exchange a Pink Marble purchased from our website. I hope that helps. Happy New Year!
