My old routine & products weren't working so well for my aging, oily skin, & I'm developing red spots from warfarin meds, so did a lot of research after some expensive missteps with SmartCover, & found Pur. It's been several weeks & overall, I'm really happy. I purchased the Pur Minerals Correcting Primer & also the small introductory kit (no longer available--boo--I would not have sprung for the full sizes, as I will now, so I hope Pur Minerals will rethink that!) Some practice was required to get it right, but I'm really happy so far. I 1st do some spot moisturizing clean, dry skin (Neutrogena oil-free), then use Physician's Formula Concealer Twins (green end only) to cover vascularization & red warfarin spots, give it a few secs to dry, then "pat/stipple" with my fingers (don't blend or you'll expose what you're trying to cover & have to start all over); after that's dry, I use a VERY small amount of the Pur Correcting Primer, which appears very green when first applied, but dries to a lighter color, not green. A little of this amazing stuff goes a very long way. After all your "color correction" efforts have dried thoroughly (I work on my eye makeup in the meantime), follow with the powdery finish foundation & the darker blush/bronzer after that. With the latter two items, a little goes a long way, too. If I'm in a rush & can't take the time to build up coverage little by little, I overdo it purposely then blend with fingers or pat with a cosmetic pad. Pur products blend like a dream! The facial vascularization, BTW, is very hard to cover up completely even with all this effort, but it is minimized drastically, & I've gotten many compliments lately that I'm looking much better! I love this stuff. (And it's all much easier & less expensive than the SmartCover, which was very difficult & messy to work with, & seems formulated with lesser quality ingredients.) The mascara that comes with the starter kit is fine for a low-key daytime use.

This version has several new ingredients that do not agree with my skin. My face broke out after using the product for 2 days. Also, the previous version was fragrance free, unfortunately this new version is NOT fragrance fee. Pur minerals products are marketed as being fangrance free and safe for sensitive skin. This primer does not fall into this category. I am really disappointed to see that these ingredients have also been added to the 4-in-1 pressed mineral powder. I guess I will be switching to a new make-up brand since I can't tolerate these new ingredients.

Comments about Color Correcting Primer - Redness Reducer:

I have redness and this primer covers it all. Just a tiny bit goes a very long way. I love how it evens out my skin tone and will never be without it again. I have very sensitive skin and have had no issues with this product. I love it.

Comments about Color Correcting Primer - Redness Reducer:

I was apprehensive about putting something green on my face since I haven't had the best luck with correcting products I the past. I find that this primer has a nice balance of correcting colour in it so it doesn't turn your skin undertones from red to green or grey!! When I apply this primer it takes about 30 seconds to set and absorb in to my skin, it then cancels out the pinky red tones in my skin. It will not cancel out redness that is heavy from things such as a very irritated blemish but that's ok. That is what concealer is for. What it does for me is correct my red undertones and makes my skin very pale and a uniform white rather than blotchy and pink. I find I use less foundation as result! The texture is comparable to the very excellent yet expensive Hourglass Mineral Veil. I would recommend this to anyone with fair skin and pink undertones.

      Not for me

Comments about Pur Minerals Color Correcting Primer - Redness Reducer:

Maybe I missed something. I watched a video before I used this product. I applied it exactly like the video. My skin carries a red tone in my T-zone. Once I applied all my products my skin looked grey in the areas where the primer was. It looked realllly dry too. I put the M.M.C cream on before I put my make up on as well. Not for me.

      Great primer

Comments about Pur Minerals Color Correcting Primer - Redness Reducer:

I love this primer. My skin gets very red and this does a fantastic job of neutralizing the color without adding a cakey, gross layer of makeup like so many other products do. The only thing I hate is the old pump packaging so I'm excited to try the new container. Hopefully this one will be less wasteful and easier to use!

Comments about Pur Minerals Color Correcting Primer - Redness Reducer:

Effectively eliminates the redness on my cheeks and in the "T" zone. Have tried other primers from other companies, but find that none measure up to this one. Another "must have" from Pur Minerals.

Comments about Pur Minerals Color Correcting Primer - Redness Reducer:

I really like this primer it goes on smooth and feels silky. I have a bit of redness on both my cheeks and this helps tone that down as well as good for covering any acne flareups. I've tried a different green primer before that made me look like a zombie so I was a little hesitant at purchasing at first but I'm glad I did because this primer works great.

Comments about Pur Minerals Color Correcting Primer - Redness Reducer:

Thank you thank you for the new packaging!! I love this product and have used it for years, but I had become so frustrated by that useless pump bottle that I had begun to look for a similar product elsewhere. This goes on smoothly and easily - I use it under a thin layer of tinted moisturizer, and both last all day. I love it!

      new formulation

Comments about Pur Minerals Color Correcting Primer - Redness Reducer:

This product has not just been repackaged, it has been reformulated. Therefore the current review are not valid. Once again Estee Lauder has destroyed a perfectly good Pur Minerals product. I can understand removing the parabens...but why would you put retinol (which tends to cause redness) in a product meant to reduce redness? I have been a loyal Pur Mineral customer for many years, but I can no longer use this product as I have issues with retinol. I would like my makeup to be makeup..and my skincare to be skincare. I don't want to combine. Pur Minerals used to be a fantastic line for sensitive skin, but seems no longer. Can you please also carry a paraben free original or just give us a choice between the old and new?
